Project Statement:
The objectives of this series of posters and a number of digital ads are design and crafted to convey the the ever growing gun violence that has taken hold of the country. In search of images of the posters and ads, a number of stock images had been used from the site Pexles and if not, the images had to be crafted in photoshop. The images used range from a gun outline, a car outline, as well as background images. With the right images, the right colors had to be found to represent the themes of the series, using the colors yellow, red, black, white, and maroon. Yellow was used to act as attention grabber as well as representing the road signs, black was used for a similar reason. Red and maroon are used to show the real sense of danger that comes from the subject. White was also used to compliment the other colors. The typefaces are used to compliment the attention drawing colors, to draw the eyes of the viewers to the text. The images used from the site consist of a gun outline, a car outline, the photo of teens with a road map and gun, and the road map for the secend poster. With the ones that were made in photoshop being the yellow road lines and the white gun outline of a number of the ads. These images were used to not only resemble road signs but also to grapple with the importance and impact of the subject at hand. The white gun outline is used to represent the rough chalk outline in ctime senes with the car inside the outline representing a bullet, lined up with the ambulance on the background image acting as the shot. The copy and facts used in the series are listed the website www.teamenough.com. The sizes of the posters and ads are predetermined.
